Earlier this month I was lucky to attend the ProBlogger event on the Gold Coast where I got to meet some of my beautiful (online) blogger friends in person; Madeleine from The Daily Mark and Blogger Boss, Andrea from Sublime Finds, Stephanie from The Raw Edit, Luciana from Lilt Blog, Belinda from Parties, Pearls and Being Precious, Belinda from My Oodle and Tine from Beautyholics Anonymous (such a highlight and THRILL to meet these fabulous ladies) as well as many new faces from the blogosphere like Peta from Peta Serras who kindly took this daunted newbie under her wing. It was so lovely to chat, ask questions, be inspired, share information, laugh and have a whole lot of fun (aka dancing to the 80’s!) with these beautiful creative entrepreneurs.
Also this month my youngest munchkin turned 5, FIVE I say, seriously how can that be? It’s true when they say, it was only yesterday… I can’t believe how big he and his brother are getting. They are inquisitive, smart, funny, tender little beings and it’s such a joy watching them grow.
Spring is coming, tomorrow actually, which means the days are getting lighter and it’s time to spruce up the wardrobe with some brighter tones. White, blush, tan and khaki are popular at the moment and are perfect neutral tones that will blend well into your current wardrobe. My Spring staples include midi skirts, basic tees and singlets, stripe tee dresses, long cardigans and my sunnies. Sandals will also start making more of an appearance in my everyday looks as the days get warmer.
Currently I’m obsessing over fringe details – like on everything – tops, skirts, bags and shoes… as well as lace and fine dainty rings and jewellery. As I stated in last months musing my rose gold addiction is wavering and I’m finding the subtleness of silver refreshing again. Although I love me a statement necklace or ring, lately I’ve been pairing back my jewels and keeping it minimal. I’m also experimenting with lighter shades of lipstick and nail polish. On my wish list is a leather jacket, that can be worn with everything, sounds achievable?!
Spring is about rejuvenation and awakening after the cooler months of Winter. It’s a time when you start thinking ahead to Summer and whether you need to eat a little healthier or move a bit more, you know to get ‘bikini'(or in my case bather) ready. Now is the time to put any Spring/Summer goals into motion. I know I am planning a little shake up (I will share my personal wellness goals in next months musing). Lastly, this coming Sunday is Father’s Day for fellow Australians, hope you have a wonderful day with your Dad, showing him how much he means to you xxx.
