Makeup edit for Spring
The Makeup edit for Spring
A new season means a new palette to play with. Keeping with the essence of Spring, this season’s colours are fresh and vibrant, mixing bursts of orange with popping blues, navys and metallics. Lately, I’m loving everything Napolean Perdis. The Stroke of Genius Cashmere Foundation (5) is perfect for night, when you require a bit more coverage. The Matte Bronzer (4) can be worn day and night and is for those of you who don’t want any shimmer with their bronzer (I’m thinking perfect for work meetings). However, if like me you don’t mind a bit of shimmering goodness you can’t go past Bobbi Brown’s Brightening Blush (1) for subtle illumination. Seriously, every girl should own one of these! Doubles as eyeshadow as well as blush.
Have some fun with your eyes this season, with bold eyeshadows (3) and eyeliners (6). I love straying from the traditional black eyeliner and adding some colour and interest to your eyes, think bright blue, navy, bronze and brown. As for lips, it’s time to put the lip gloss (temporarily) away and try solid creamy lipsticks (2), think rich and colourful yet sultry. Completing the Spring edit, is metallic nail polish (7) in bronze.
