Last week I tried my first Barre class (a combination of barre ballet, yoga and pilates). I had been wanting to try this class for a while and had continued to put it off, worried I wasn’t flexible or coordinated enough. A pamphlet at my morning coffee shop for a free class gave me the now or never push I needed. So I signed up, did the class and loved it! The above words were in the waiting room of the class. I connected with them instantly. Have you ever wanted to give something a go and then thought you’ll never be good enough? That everyone is so much better? Or had an idea and then become so inundated with information and options you were afraid to begin? That what you want to do is already being done and how could you compete? Everyone has been where you are, with similar thoughts when embarking on something new or different. The only way to move past this is to start/do, period. Everyone is a beginner at some point, which means everyone can also become an expert. So don’t put off that thing or idea you have been contemplating, beginning may be scary but with enough practice, passion and dedication you never know where it may lead.
