14 Days to Wellness – day twelve

14 Days to Wellness - Day 12 / www.heidiandcoco.comAdd SPF to your daily routine

Even when it’s not sunny our skin is taking in the rays of the sun. Over time the effects can cause fine lines, wrinkles and age spots on your face, arms and hands making your skin lose that youthful appearance. This exposure is called photoaging and is caused by chronic UVA and UVB exposure. Although some of this exposure is unavoidable it can be best combated with prevention and daily application of sunscreen or products with SPF content. SPF helps protect the skin by absorbing or reflecting some of sun’s UV light. Regular application of SPF can also reverse some of the signs of photoaging. At a minimum apply SPF to your face, neck and hands as part of your daily beauty routine. If you plan to be out in the sun, ensure you apply SPF to all exposed skin, reapplying every two hours. With Summer only a few days away, there is no better time to begin protecting your skin from the harsh effects of the sun.
